Do Razors Rust

Razors do have the potential to rust. This is mainly due to the following three reasons:

Oxidation reaction: When the iron material in the razor is exposed to air, it is easy to be eroded by oxygen, which leads to oxidation reaction, resulting in rust.

Water impact: razors are often in contact with water, especially during use, the oxygen in the water and the water on the surface of the razor will speed up the rust process.

High humidity environment: In a high humidity environment, the razor is more prone to rust, because the humidity can promote the iron material and oxygen contact and evaporation of water.

In order to avoid razor rust, appropriate maintenance measures should be taken, such as regular cleaning and lubrication of the blade, and keeping the razor dry. If the razor is not used or stored correctly, even the razor that does not rust can have rust problems.
